I hope you’re sitting down for this one, Final Fantasy fans, but Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail will be releasing (at long last) on the 2nd of July, and Ealy Access will be kicking off on the 28th of June!
And this isn’t just speculation either; These dates have been confirmed by Naoki Yoshida, the game’s director and producer, while speaking at PAX East 2024.
While dropping bombs, Naoki Yoshida also announced what the pre-order bonuses and collector’s edition bonuses would be with the expansion’s release.
Pre-ordering will give players access to the easy date of 28 June, a Wind-up Zidane minion from Final Fantasy 9, and a pair of Azeyma’s earrings.
The collectors will come with a Wind-up Garnet minion and the Ark as a mount, both from Final Fantasy 9, and there’ll also be a Chocobo brush for the Necromancer.
As for why the particular release date of 2 June? According to Naoki Yoshida, they (rightly) figured that Gamres would be playing the Elden Ring DLC, so they’ve decided to give them a week of that before dropping the glory that is Dawntrail.
