I hope my fellow indie game lovers are sitting down for this; Harold Halibut, the stop-motion-style game about a stranded spaceship at the bottom of an alien ocean, finally has a release date – and it’s so close I’m practically playing it already!
Announced in the early hours at the Future Games Show, Harold Halibut will be officially arriving on the 16th of April, and there’s even a new trailer to help tide us over.
The trailer reveals much more than we’ve seen previously, and the handcrafted style shines through with this more narrative-focused trailer that lays the groundwork for what gamers can expect.
It’s wild to think just how long this journey has been for Developer Slow Bros. The game has been in development for ten years now and even beat the odds after a failed Kickstarter campaign in 2017 – something that would usually spell doom for a smaller indie title.
But if you’re as excited as I am for the game, you don’t even have to wait until the 16th of April to get your hands on it. Alongside all this exciting news, a demo was dropped on the game’s Steam page, offering more than an hour of gameplay.
If you want to check out the demo, you can follow the link here.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a demo to go play. Work. I mean I have work. Shhh.
