Attention all Destiny 2 fans! Bungie has just announced that Destiny 2: Into the Light, a two-month stretch of updates and content leading into The Final Shape, will kick off on the 9th of April.
In the leadup, Bungie will be hosting three livestreams showcasing hands-on gameplay and new features, content and rewards players can look forward to coming to the game.
The Final Shape will be the conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga comprising the entire Destiny narrative thus far. It was initially planned to start in February, but thanks to layoffs at Bungie, everything got delayed and pushed back.
Destiny 2: Into the Light begins on April 9, 2024.

What content will be added and previewed in the live streams has yet to be announced, but we know that the streams are set for the 19th and 26th of March and then finally on the 2nd of April.
Bungie has also said that each live stream will focus on different parts of the content updates and will be presented by developers.
Another benefit to watching these streams is that players who watch at least 30 minutes across all three streams will get the Those Held Dear emblem. Those who watch for two hours will also receive the Echo Diamond emblem.

To say a lot is riding on this update is to put it mildly. Fans are already upset that Bungie has laid off so much of its staff, which has resulted in a significant drop in players and a revenue of 45% below expectations.
But now I want to hear from you. Are you excited for Into the Light? Let me know in the comments.
