The OG Battle Royale, PUBG, has been around for seven years this year, and the team behind it, Krafton, just released their 7th-anniversary road map, which is much more exciting than you think.
One of the most notable and first things announced for PUBG this year is destructible environments. Hoping to increase the “vibrancy” of one’s gameplay experience. Krafton will be adding destructible terrain and objects to PUBG. This will allow players to create strategic plays using remodelled terrain to create defences, shorten access paths or rain down chaos upon their enemies in the form of bricks.
Players will start to see these environments in effect starting from the April update of the game.
Krafton went on to say that they will be making gunplay changes every two months, listening closely to the community feedback. This will allow them to update the meta frequently, keeping the gameplay feeling fresh and, hopefully, more entertaining for players.
Collaborations with Lamborghini and some other car brands are also teased during the roadmap announcement, adding exciting new vehicles to the game. Of course, weapons are getting some love as well, with progressive skins and vaulted skins being released over the course of the year.

Another big announcement is the move to Unreal Engine 5. We’ve all seen the impressive graphical improvements Unreal Engine 5 has over Unreal Engine 4, and there’s nothing like a fresh coat of new paint to help make things look more attractive.
User-generated content is also being worked on for PUBG this year. This could include new game modes, modded content, and, I guess, anything else you guys can come up with.
It’s an exciting year ahead for PUBG fans, and even though it still sits at the top of the most-played leaderboards on Steam, all these new features could still boost it even higher.
