Okay, no one panic, but we’ve got some big and exciting news for all you Helldivers out there. Mechs, first teased in the game’s Report for Duty trailer, are finally making their way to the game!
Fans have been waiting for the Mech announcement pretty much as soon as the game debuted, and Eagle Eyes fans found a subtle hint in the form of a giant, stomping mech suit firing a very loud Gatling gun with the words ‘coming soon after launch’ hidden in a teaser trailer for the game.
Now, thanks to an X on X, we finally have confirmation that our eyes weren’t playing tricks on us and that Mechs are finally ready to join the fray.
The Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit is not just any mech; it’s a walking tank equipped with a missile platform and a chaingun, making it the most efficient way to deal with the games’ automation, bugs and your teammates alike.
As for when Helldivers can expect to climb into one of these killing machines? Well, soon. In the announcement X, Arrowhead Games didn’t care to give us an exact release date, but soon is better than not soon… right?
