At this point, not only is Magic: The Gathering known for its collaborations, but they’re expected. The latest franchise to get that sweet, sweet TCG treatment is none other than Assassin’s Creed, with Final Fantasy and Fallout following close behind.
Now, we’re finally getting our first glimpse at what the Assassins Creed deck will look like, and from what we’ve seen so far, it seems like Magic managed to hit the nail on the head again.
While we already know that the Fallout crossover will focus purely on the Commander format, the Assassin’s Creed cards will be available in a starter kit for beginners. The collab will have two premade decks, special booster packs, and unique cards like Haystack.

Haystack is one of the cards you’ll be able to get with the Assassin’s Creed cards. Haystack will let players phase out a card for the cost of two mana, making it untargetable until the next time it’s untapped.
This means the card works almost exactly as Haystacks do in video games, rendering you completely invisible and temporarily safe.
But the Haystack isn’t the only thematically perfect card; other cards will include Ezio, Blade of Vengeance, a 5/5 legendary creature with Deathtouch, and a version of Leonardo da Vinci that can power up Thopters.
If you play Magic: The Gathering and Assassin’s Creed, then this collaboration is one you will want to add to your collection when it drops on the 5th of July.
