Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile dropping in March

Get ready for redeployment to Verdansk and Rebirth Island; Activision Blizzard has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone will drop on the 21st of March for Android and iOS devices.

Even though the game has been available as a limited release since last year, the global launch means everyone else now gets a chance to drop in. The company said that 50 million mobile gamers have already pre-registered for the game.

The next iteration of the Free-to-Play Battle Royale experience. Built from the ground up, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile introduces shared progression with Call of Duty: Warzone, brand-new innovations, multiple maps and modes, and more.

This launch will also see two fan-favourite maps make it back into rotation, Verdansk and Rebirth Island. While the latter is a small 48-player map, Verdansk boasts a 120-player capacity for Battle Royale fans. There will also be numerous multiplayer maps like Shipment and Shoot House to try and dominate.

Also announced was support for shared progression; this means that Call of Duty players will be able to level up weapons and XP across the PC and console versions of Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare III. In its blog post, the company says; “Simply log in using your Activision ID, and most content acquired in Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone is seamlessly transferred and becomes continuously available between your games.”

The shared features across platforms include:

Player Level: Player XP earned on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile transfers seamlessly over to Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare III and vice versa so that your Player Level (and Prestige) remains the same regardless of the platform you game on.

Weapon Level: Leveling up weapons to earn new camos and attachments is a core part of the Call of Duty experience. With shared weapon level progression, you can keep grinding away at Weapon XP both at home and on the go.

Battle Pass Progression: Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile offers shared Battle Pass progress with Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone on both console and PC. This allows you to maximize your playtime to move through the tiers in more ways and with more efficiency than ever before. Access your unlocked Battle Pass rewards across platforms, including Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Emblems, Weapon Charms, and more. Content from the BlackCell Battle Pass offering will also be accessible within Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

Store Bundles: The Bundles you purchase and own already on Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare III, aside from a small number of exclusive Bundles, will be available for use in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and vice versa. Look for the ‘Connected’ tag on Bundles in the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile in-game Store to confirm cross-inventory compatibility with Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone.

In trying to align the mobile game with the insanely popular console and PC versions, mobile gamers will get even more new features with Call of Duty Warzone Mobile; Activision Blizzard says that the mobile game will include controller support, great for gamers who don’t like on-screen controls.

Furthermore, gamers who pre-register for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will unlock the following redeemable rewards when the game launches:

  • The Ghost “Condemned” Operator Skin
  • The M4 “Archfiend” and X12 “Prince of Hell” Weapon Blueprints
  • The “Foe’s Flame” Vinyl
  • The “Dark Familiar” Emblem

If you’re as excited as we are (this statement does not include Arielle’s opinion), you can pre-register for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on Android or iOS.
