Helldivers 2 is a lot of fun, and the developers have been hard at work over the last few weeks to improve the server issues plaguing the game so that even more players can enjoy being slaughtered by their teammates in the name of democracy.
To celebrate the first weekend that the game didn’t have significant server outages, the Helldivers 2 developers have just announced that another server cap increase is on the way, which should alleviate much, if not all, of the in-game queues.
Since its release, Helldivers 2 has been smashing records as far as it goes, including when it comes to the number of people who want to play the game, roughly half a million on PC and PlayStation alike – which is a crazy feat, especially when you consider Helldivers 2 comes from a studio with 100 developers.
However, no blessing can be without a curse, and thanks to this monumental level of popularity, the serves have been struggling to keep up.
In an X, Arrowhead Games CEO Johan Pilestedt announced that Helldivers 2 has just received yet another server capacity increase to try and handle the massive amount of gamers actively trying to play the game. The new increased capacity will allow the game to support 800,000 concurrent players simultaneously.
We expect the @helldivers2 servers to hit the 800,000 CCU max capacity in 3-4 hours. There might be light queues to get in at peak.
Also, how crazy is this message from a studio of ~100 devs? 🤟

This is the second server increase the game has received over just a few days, with the last being on the 22nd of February, when the maximum capacity was increased to 700,000.
But now we want to hear from you. Have you been enjoying Helldivers 2 as much as we have? Let us know in the comments.
