Upcoming Horror Level Zero Re-announced As A Multiplayer Extraction Shooter

Back in 2022, an asymmetric horror game called Level Zero was first announced. It posed as a game about some ill-fated scientist trying to escape from a facility overrun by aliens trying to eat their faces – basically, your run-of-the-mill Sci-Fi horror stuff.

The game was announced alongside a release date of 2023, but instead of that, there was silence louder than the facility after the aliens had fed, and the game faded into obscurity until now.

Level Zero has just been re-announced as Level Zero: Extraction, a game more focused on killing than surviving. This time around, the scientists aren’t poor, helpless souls on the fast track to becoming dinner. Instead, they’re responsible for bringing aliens back to Earth and for everything that went wrong.

Players will be taking on the role of mercenaries, teamed with up to two friends, to enter the doomed facility armed to the teeth with assault rifles, shotguns, flamethrowers, and every other boom-going device to try and take on the alien creatures.

Players will also be able to take on the role of the aliens if that’s more their jam and enjoy seeing through walls, traversing through vents, and using a high-frequency scream to disable all light sources in an area temporarily.

Every match will have two alien creatures present, so you and your friends don’t need to fight that hard about who gets to be the one dining and who gets to be the dinner.

If you’re keen to see how Level Zero: Extraction players, there will be a closed beta available from the 15th to the 18th of March and players wanting to give it a try need to follow the link here to the game’s Steam page and then click on the handy dandy request access button.
