On the 7th of March, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 version 1.002 will introduce New Game+ to the game, allowing players to tackle a higher difficulty but with all their suits and abilities already unlocked.
There will also be some new content for players to unlock in the form of Ultimate Levels, Golden Gadget styles, and more. Insomniac has also revealed new suit styles for several of Peter’s symbiote story suits in the game, allowing players to customise their look further.
There are also some new suits, available for free, in the form of Marvel’s Hellfire Gala suits for both Peter and Miles. If you want to show off your new skins, you can try out the updated Photo Mode, which will let players change the time of day to ensure their shots always have the proper lighting.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 version 1.002 also included some significant Accessibility updates with Audio Descriptions and Screen Reader options being added to the game and Cinematic Captions and High Contrast Outlines.
Finally, there will also be two new suits thanks to a partnership with Gameheads. Dubbed the Fly N’ Fresh suits, these suits will be available for $4.99.
PlayStation will be donating 100% of the purchase price of each Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack sold in the United States to Gameheads, up to $1 million.
And if you want the suit without helping support the mission of empowering low-income youth and youth of colour to thrive in the video games industry, the suits will be available for free later.
Each of the Fly N’ Fresh Suit Packs will include:
- Fly Suit for Peter
- Fresh Suit for Miles
- 10 photo mode stickers
- 2 photo mode frames
For those unaware of what Gameheads is, they are a company that aims to develop diverse talent and bold new voices in gaming. They do this by training students for the tech ecosystem and helping to prepare them for college, career and civic life.
Gameheads serves low-income and underrepresented students (ages 15-25) in 15 states, with expansions to Honolulu and Atlanta.
