Today is Friday, which means it’s officially game time. It’s not us saying that; it’s the law. It’s also that glorious day of the week when Epic comes in like a gaming fairy godmother and turns our empty wallets into a free game.
For those who don’t already know, every Thursday or sometimes Friday, Epic Games Store makes a game available for free, and sometimes, if you’ve been really, really good, two games get the discount treatment.
All gamers need to do to grab this gift from the gaming gods themselves is log into their Epic account, redeem the game or games on offer and add it to their library. Forever.
Today, the Epic Games Store has Dakar Desert Rally up for grabs until the 22nd of February.

Usually retailing for R370, Dakar Desert Rally is among the world’s most popular digital off-road rally racing games. Players will experience the speed and excitement of the most significant rally race on the planet – all from the safety of their couch and with endless snacks on hand.
The game features licensed vehicles, from motorcycles, cars, trucks, quads and SSVs. While it only has a mixed rating overall, we’re sure that it will be a lot of fun for those with an interest in rally rating, and for the low price of free, what will it hurt to try?
If Dakar Desert Rally sounds like the game for you, remember to head to the Epic Games Store and add them to your library before the 22nd of February, when the next free game goes live.
