While Dead Island 2 faded from people’s minds pretty quickly after it was released a year ago, it was one of our favourite games from last year and in our review, we said:
“Dead Island 2 is the co-op zombie-killing game of our dreams. It’s filled to the brim with hack-and-slash action and manages to toe the line between humour and violence in a way that’s highly comparable to the B-grade horror movies of old, making Dead Island 2 a bloody good time both alone and with friends.”
And now, on the 22nd of April, PC gamers will finally be able to play it via their favourite gaming platform, Steam.
But gamers don’t need to wait until April to get their fill of zombie-killing goodness. To celebrate the impending launch, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is now free on Steam until tomorrow, the 15th of February. On top of this, Dead Island Retro Revenge is 75% off until the 20th.
In this life of ours, few things bring as much child-like joy as running through an apocalyptic-style world, killing all matter of things that go bump in the night or the day.
There is something so utterly enthralling about these kinds of games that we can’t help but get excited whenever we get to play one, and that is precisely what the Dead Island franchise delivers.
