Starfield Broadening its Galaxy with PlayStation

I guess the X in Xbox doesn’t stand for Xclusive, as rumours suggest a few of the console’s exclusive titles will be heading to PlayStation soon.

Xbox Era announced that, according to their sources, Bethesda’s Starfield will be coming to PlayStation just after its Shattered Space expansion, which is set for launch sometime this year.

This follows other rumours that Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves will also be gaining access to the PlayStation market, according to Tom Warren from The Verge.

If that wasn’t enough, more of The Verge’s sources have also suggested that Bethesda’s new Indiana Jones Game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will also make its way over to PlayStation just a few months after its Xbox/PC release.

This multiplatform strategy is quite different to what has been coming out of Xbox/Microsoft over the past few years. When Starfeild released, being an Xbox exclusive was one of the main points that was pushed across it’s marketing. It was also brought up during the Activision acquisition case that all Bethesda titles, except for those already released, would be Xbox/PC exclusives. Yet, here we sit with two of their games being ported over.

Perhaps the PlayStation 5 outselling the Xbox by almost three times has convinced the higher-ups that there’s enough money lingering on Team Blue that they could be soaking up with their games. That or they’re just pre-softening the blow when they announce COD will be removed from PlayStation consoles.
