Believe it or not, Age of Empires has so many updates coming this year that they’re hosting their own virtual event. Called New Year New Age, the company plans on showing off a couple of new games they are working on, as well as DLCs for their already released games.
The live stream event will take place on the 23rd of February at 8 PM on Age of Empires’ YouTube, Twitch, Steam page, and website. Welyn, the popular strategy game streamer, will also host the event from his own Twitch.
Age of Empires says fans can expect content from across most of their games, including a new campaign-focused expansion for Age of Empires 2, a DLC for Age of Empires 3 containing new civilisations to play, the new season coming to Age of Empires 4, and we’ll get our first ever look at Age of Empires Mobile.
To round it all off, Age of Mythology fans can also expect a sneak peek of the remake of the game Age of Mythology: Retold.
The team will take us behind the curtain in the studio to show how they are developing this beloved game for a new, modern experience. Fans can expect a unique unveiling of a few mythological creatures that you won’t want to miss.
I can’t wait to see what they have hiding up their sleeves for the new Age of Mythology game, and while it probably won’t be as good as I remember the 2002 release in my head, I’m sure it’s still going to be epic.
