Just like that, the 29th content update for Halo Infinite has dropped, bringing with it a brand-new map, the limited-time Operation: Spirit of Fire event, and more. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, the developers have also shared some insights on what fans can expect content-wise over the next three months.
From this update onwards, Halo Infinite will no longer run traditional seasons, and the paid battle pass system will also end. Instead, the development team will deliver content via ongoing Content Updates and Operations, in-game events lasting roughly 4–6 weeks a pop.
These content updates will contain new maps, gear, and other content that fans were used to receiving as part of the previous seasonal model.
However, unlike the previous 100 paid battle pass tiers, each content update will include 20 free tiers of unlockable rewards.

As for the update that just dropped, it introduces the all-new Illusion map, the Operation: Spirit of Fire event, and the Classic Mark IV armour. The Illusion map takes place on an abandoned ONI black site that stores recovered Covenant technology and will be available in Halo Infinite’s core playlists.
The new update also lets players take advantage of multi-use shoulder customization for all cores and unlock additional Mark IV gear pieces for free, including weapon charms and armour attachments.
Silver Team helmets from the Halo TV series will also be free within Halo: Infinite, with one helmet being made available weekly.
As for Operation: Spirit of Fire, the event will remain active until the 5th of March and let players play through all 20 tiers of content for free. Once the event ends, the Cyber Showdown 3 Operation will begin with a viral machine theme and rewards for the Chimera armour core.
The Cyber Showdown event will run until the 5th of April, when The Happening 2 Operation will begin, adding an April Fools theme to the game.
