It might not seem like January had space for another survival game to release and become successful after the Poké-like Palworld appears to have stolen the hearts of many.
But apparently, you can never have too much of a good thing, and Enshrouded is plenty good – at least if the very positive rating on Steam is to be believed.
After only four days, the fantasy action RPG Enshrouded has already managed to pull in over 1 million players on Steam alone, making it one of the biggest games to debut this month.
For those who don’t know, Enshrouded is an Early Access title that puts players in the shoes of a Flameborn, the last ember of hope of a dying race. Players must try their best to survive the terror of a corrupting fog and reclaim their kingdom.

Enshrouded is a co-op survival game for up to 16 players, features punishing bosses for players to take on together and a robust building mechanic.
“We’re excited to let you know that this is just the beginning for Enshrouded. We are looking forward to continuing the development of the game with your support, aiming to make Enshrouded the best game it can be. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone!”
As of writing this, Enshrouded has over 160,000 concurrent players, putting it in Steam’s top 10 most-played games. Palworld still holds the top spot, with a daily peak of nearly 1.8 million concurrent players.
