PlayStation 5 users, it’s finally time. Initially released for the PC and Xbox Series X/S in August 2022, Immortality is finally making its way to the PlayStation 5 today.
For those who missed it, Immortality is a critically acclaimed interactive film game that ended up being one of the highest-rated games of 2022 and has a couple of considerable awards to its name as well.
You can read our review of the game here, but in summary, we had this to say about it:
“Immortality is a “mature” game that asks players to shed their preconceived notions about what a video game should be.”
The game was developed by renowned game developer Sam Barlow of Her Story fame and puts players in the middle of a gripping mystery story filled with more twists and turns than a track on Mario Cart.
As noted above, Immortality quickly became one of the highest-rated games of 2022 and saw itself neck and neck with other significant titles like Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok.
The game was widely praised for its acting performances, and the lead actor even won the Best Performer trophy at the 2022 Golden Joystick Awards.
Sam Barlow is also hard at work on a new project that will be developed under the indie studio he founded, Half Mermaid.
