To celebrate making it past the combined 79 days of January, Nintendo has announced a new Spirit Event taking place from the 25th over on Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
The event will feature all-new spirits to battle and claim, hailing from Konami’s WBSC eBaseball: Power Pros, Atlus’ 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and, most notable of all, Zagreus himself from Supergiants smash indie hit, Hades.
For five days starting 1/25, new spirits such as Zagreus, spirits from WBSC eBASEBALL: POWER PROS, and more will appear on the #SmashBrosUltimate Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn more SP than usual. pic.twitter.com/i0NFDzt4Uy

During the event, which will run for five days once started, players will gain bonus SP for defeating the new spirits on the block. It’s also known that the Spirit Board tends to rotate out characters, so there is a chance that if you don’t beat them during the event, you may miss out on claiming them as your own until the next rotation.
The kind of spirit each of the new characters will be hasn’t yet been confirmed, but let’s be honest: most people use them as cool badges more than actual support characters, right?
