Gigabyte Rides the AI Wave

It’s pretty clear that we have entered the AI era, and with CES wrapping up last week, most technology companies seem to have taken an “adapt or die” attitude towards it.

Gigabyte has gone all in on their latest range of AI Gaming Laptops this year, providing powerful machines designed with AI capabilities at their core.

Seven new laptops have been launched this year, the Aorus 17X, 16X, 17, and 15 and the G6X, G6 and G5, all ready to take on this new technological revolution.

Each of these new laptops has been equipped with an Nvidia RTX 40 series GPU, leveraging Nvidias TensorRT for deep learning, and are powered by the latest generation of Intel CPUs, which provide NPUs, or Neural Processing Units, built specifically for generative AI processing capabilities.

Gigabyte says that the Aorus range of laptops will also feature what they’re calling their exclusive AI Nexus. Although not much is revealed as to what the AI Nexus is, there are hints that it is a suite of AI features that will adapt the laptop to different usage situations, such as power boosting while using certain apps or battery usage adaption for different scenarios. While a lot of this sounds like something you already have in your laptop, we’re hoping that the AI Nexus part behind it all means that this latest range of laptops will make these adjustments for you automatically instead of having to hit a couple of buttons to change the mode every time you want to make adjustments.

Gigabyte has also partnered with Microsoft to include a dedicated Copilot button on the keyboard setup of these laptops. This means you can easily and quickly gain access to the Copilot AI suite from Microsoft should you need some AI assistance for something, like perhaps writing a news piece.

At the end of it all, though, these laptops are still some pretty bad-ass gaming rigs. It just so happens that the amount of power needed for AI tools is quite similar to the amount of power gamers like to have in their machines.
