To this day, you can go to any geeky show or expo, and you will uncountably find a fair share of Portal merchandise. It’s still one of gaming’s biggest travesties that this franchise was left to wither and die by its creators.
Thankfully, the game has a significant and active community that isn’t willing to let it just die and actively works on creating content for the games. This past weekend, a significant new edition to the world of fan-made content was dropped.
Named Portal: Revolution, the game is an entirely original seven-hour campaign complete with new characters, mechanics, and a story that takes place between Portals 1 and 2, and to top it all off – it’s entirely free,
This mod is verifiably huge, so huge that developer Second Face Software managed to publish it with its own standalone Steam page and approval from Valve itself.
Portal: Revolution was created on Strata Source, a community-made branch of the Source engine, and it’s been officially licensed by Valve.
