It has been a lifetime since Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released in 2013, and fans started crying out in desperation for more. After an entire decade, the wait is finally over, and the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 is here. Let’s dive right into it.
The Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer is best described as a tone-setter. There is enough theme to have you on the edge of your seat in anticipation, but there are few actual details about what fans can expect from the game.
However, the trailer confirms the last year or so of rumours that The Grand Theft Auto 6 would feature two protagonists who form a Bonnie and Clyde duo. It’s yet to be revealed if both characters will be playable, as the rumours have suggested.
Another critical element of the trailer was some Instagram and TikTok-style social media posts, possibly just in the trailer for aesthetics or a new social mechanic that will be integrated into the upcoming game.
It has also been confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be heading our way sometime in 2025. It will be set in the fictional version of Miami we know and love, Vice City and the surroundings.
“Grand Theft Auto 6 heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
However, not everything about the announcement and trailer was sunshine and rainbows; one core concern the reveal has brought on is about the PC version.
From what we’ve seen thus far, the Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement has made no mention of a PC version and instead says:
“Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming to PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X-S games and entertainment systems in 2025.”
Now, that doesn’t mean the game won’t be coming to PC, but it likely means that PC players will need to wait, much like they did with GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 4 and 5, LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption 2 that have come before.
But now we want to hear from you. Are you excited by the trailer released for Grand Theft Auto 6? Let us know in the comments.
