Are You A Geek For All Things Anime? Check Out Otaku Kulture At rAge 2023

rAge 2023 Exhibitor

Otaku Kulture started as just a passion for Anime, and the team’s Widebody Toyota 86 was the FIRST Fully wrapped anime car in the country.

Soon, they added a second to their collection with a Wrapped Subaru WRX STI, which has the country’s only set of wheels that are literal hearts.

Visitors to rAge last year should remember seeing both beautiful cars side by side in the hall, grabbing everyone’s attention.

But back when Otaku Kulture first wrapped their cars, the company wasn’t even a thing yet; all they had was a shared passion for Japanese Kulture and Anime, hence their company being named Otaku Kulture – which, for those who don’t already know, means someone that is obsessed with Anime and the Japanese culture.

After the massive success of rAge Expo 2022, Otaku Kulture opened its first physical store to help fulfil the need for anime merchandise and goods within South Africa.

Within the car scene, they have even been labelled as Mr & Mrs Otaku by the community, and with that fame came a nearly infinite number of questions about where they got our stickers, key rings, and all their other merchandise.

That is when they realised they had an opportunity and opened up Otaku Kulture. Now, all anime fans from near and far can get anime merchandise for themselves and their cars just by walking into the store or by ordering from the online store.

Otaku Kulture has also expanded and partnered with Wrap My Ride to design and wrap vehicles for anyone who wants to embrace their inner weeb or get a plain colour change.

Their own vehicles are re-wrapped every year to show people that anime and Japanese culture is so much more than “cartoons” and “noodles.” They have also created their very own Anime character, Megumi, now Otaku Kulture’s face.

If you want to check out Otaku Kulture before heading to rAge, you can head to Otaku Clothing, which focuses on clothing inspired by Anime, Japanese, and tech-wear clothing styles. Or you can head on over to the Otaku Kulture side, mainly focusing on all other anime products,
