How’s this for being told you talk too damn much? According to the voice actor for Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, only about 10% of the dialogue he recorded for everyone’s favourite symbiote ended up making it into the official release of the game.
Now, there is no disputing that Venom is one of the most iconic comic book villains of all time. He was spectacularly voiced in his much-anticipated return in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2; however, sometimes content needs to be cut, which appears to be what happened to quite a lot of the content in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The Spider-Man games by Insomniac have been a roaring success for Marvel. While Insomniac has now set its sights on its upcoming Wolverine game, there is little doubt that the future of Marvel’s Spider-Man is bright and will continue to be explored further.
In a panel featuring Venom actor Tony Todd at FAN EXPO San Francisco 2023, Tony Todd confirmed that Insomniac used only about 10% of the total dialogue recorded for Venom, including scrapped scenes involving Miles taking on the symbiote.

News of these line cuts has left many fans to wonder how Venom will be featured in the games in the future, with many online speculating that a Spider-Man half-sequel based on Venom could be in our future.
However, not only has nothing officially been confirmed, but the end of Spider-Man 2 didn’t exactly set things up for a Venom game to seem like the next logical step.
