Can you still remember the pure, unadulterated joy from watching Jurassic Park for the first time? If so, sit down and take a breath. You’re old now, and this news is very exciting.
Limited Run Games announced a Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in July of this year.
And for those unaware of Limited Run Games, let me make your life and ruin your savings. Limited Run Games is an American video game distributor that produces and sells limited quantities of physical video game copies that would otherwise be digital.
Over the last few years, Limited Run Games has produced physical versions of Breach & Clear, Oddworld: New’ n’ Tasty! and even Stardew Valley.
In celebration of the Jurassic Park 30th anniversary, Limited Run took games that were only ever released on cartridges and upgraded them with amber-coloured shells and a series of premium Collector’s Editions that feature light-up cartridges, numbered slipcovers, and a collectable set of posters.
This collection by Limited Run Games includes Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 2: The Choas Continues, originally released across NES, Game Boy and SNES. The games also have some new features thrown in, including save states for each game, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes that bring these titles into the modern era of gaming.
