In exciting news for fans of Red Hook Studios’ Darkest Dungeon series, the first paid DLC for Darkest Dungeon 2, The Binding Blade, has just been revealed.
The DLC will be arriving sometime in December and will see the return of the Crusader from the original game, as well as the addition of an all-new Duelist character.
When Darkest Dungeon 2 was first released, many fans were confused that the Crusader wasn’t part of the early access character as he was one of the original’s most robust and versatile characters and one of the most notable.
But now that he’s arriving, all is right with the world once more, and according to the announcement of The Binding Blade, his skillset will closely mirror the original as well.
“This battle-hardened knight is fueled by a radiant Holy fire and will Smite his foes where they stand. The Crusader is a well-rounded front-rank hero who can withstand punishing blows, support his team with healing and stress recovery, and rend his opponents with his righteous blade.”
As for the other new character, the Duelist, it will be your classic kind of swashbuckler and lend itself to serious damage with the ability to ignore enemy resistances.
The DLC will also add a new miniboss and playable backstory for both new characters. As of now, no pricing for the DLC is available. However, it can already be added to your wishlist on both Steam and Epic.
