It’s Friday, baby! After a long, hard week, it’s finally time to shut down that work file you’ve been staring at for way too long and stare at your game screen instead.
For those of you who only got access to the internet yesterday, every Thursday and sometimes Friday, Epic Games makes a new game, or sometimes, when you’re fortunate, two games are available for gamers to download and add to their libraries for free.
All gamers need to do to grab this gift from the gods for themselves is log into their Epic account, redeem the game or games on offer and add it to their library. Whatever you’ve redeemed is then yours to keep, to play or to add to an ever-growing list of games you mean to play but probably never will.
This week, Epic is offering Golden Light for players, available from today until the 16th of November for you to go and redeem.
Golden Light

Golden Light is a game that usually retails for R190, but now, thanks to Epic, you can grab it for free.
The game has very positive reviews and is not your mom’s prop hunt. Essentially, Golden Light is a prop hunt, but with a twist where the pros also hunt you.
It’s a procedural dark comedy horror game with roguelike elements and an eerie atmosphere. It should appeal to lovers of the genre and horror fans alike.
The reviews have praised the game for its brutal, punch-you-in-the-face approach and that it never tries to hold your hand unless it’s to drag you down into the abyss.
While I don’t think that Golden Light is going to appeal to everyone, I do think it’s a game that everyone should at least try – and what better time to try it than now, for free,
If you want to add this game to your library, remember to head over to the Epic Games Store before the 16th of November so that you have it to play whenever the mood strikes.
