Greg Street, or Ghostcrawler as some of you might know him, has teamed up with NetEase Games, forming a new games studio called Fantastic Pixel Castle.
Street brings with him his expertise from working as lead systems designer at Blizzard for World of Warcraft as well as being the Executive Producer for the still-in-progress League of Legends MMO.
Alongside him are a host of founding members who have previously worked on games like Overwatch, Valorant, Age of Empires, Guild Wars 2 and Fortnite.
Not only has Street announced this new studio, but he has also announced that they have already begun working on a new MMO codenamed ‘Ghost’. In their announcement video, Street mentions that they will be approaching the development of the game by taking into account the community and its feedback, hence why they are announcing the project so soon.
There will also be an AMA hosted over on Fantastic Pixel Castles’s Twitch channel on the 8th of November at 9 PM, where they will be answering questions about the new studio, the plans for Ghost and how the team will be developing the game side-by-side with the community.
Fantastic Pixel Castle is also a remote-first company, meaning that most of their employees will be working remotely, and, as they are a new company, they are currently hiring.
