This weekend marks the last few days Apex players will have to finish off their battle passes before Season 19: Ignite kicks off on the 31st of October.
Last season, we got a healthy rework of the dreaded Revenant. This new season, however, brings us a completely new Legend for us to dominate the Apex Games with.
Conduit enters the fray with an array of utility-style abilities to get her and her teammates to the top spot.
Passive:
Savior’s Speed — Conduit gains a burst of speed when running toward a teammate out of Tactical range.
Tactical:
Radiant Transfer — Conduit sends a surge of energy to a teammate, generating temporary shields for them (and Conduit) when in danger.
Ultimate:
Energy Barricade — Conduit deploys an array of shield-jamming devices that damage and slow enemies.
Portrayed as the “tiny titan of optimism”, Conduit has gained her abilities by tampering with an old Monarch Titan Battery from the very Titan that saved her village when she was a child.
Of course, the new season comes with more than just Conduit. Respawn have reworked the Storm Point map for Season 19, hoping to bring more action into the early battles and to keep the pace going during the mid-game, too.
With new points of interest on the map, teams should be engaging more often in the early game, and, as a whole, Storm Point has gotten a little smaller, meaning that those who survive their first few fights will be pushed towards other teams sooner, keeping the action going all game long.
The battle pass will also be handing out new goodies themed around Conduits’ hope and optimism. Players can expect to see pops of bright colour with all the new skins and trinkets from this season’s battle pass.
Alongside all this new stuff, Respawn has finally given us Cross Progression, meaning we can hop from one device to another and keep all the hard work we’ve put into our accounts. You can read more about that here.
I love a new season refresh; it ignites the fire in my belly to hop back into a game a love to hate, and I’ve really shown Apex no love over the past few months, so I’m excited for what may come next week.
