ACGL Announces The Carry1st VALZA Cup

The South African Valorant community must be shaking with excitement. Not only have they achieved local servers, allowing them to game with low latency against players from around the world, but they’ll also be getting an epic tournament with a fantastic prize pool of R150,000.

At rAge this December, The Carry1st VALZA Cup makes its first appearance, pitting South Africa’s top Valorant teams against each other for those podium positions. R75,000 goes to the team that makes it into 1st place, while the runners-up will receive R45,000. Third receives R30,000, and if you miss one of those top three spots, 4th place will still take home R15,000.

It doesn’t end there, though. If the community gets involved and backs their favourite teams, the prize pool has a chance to increase by an extra R50,000. Community goals, live viewer milestones during the qualifier and final broadcast and creating social media hype using the hashtag #VALZA, are all ways the community can help increase that prize pool.

Sixty-four spots will be available for the teams to fill, and an online qualifier will be hosted on the ACGL platform, which is starting on the 28th of October means teams have just ten days to make sure they have their strategies all in order.

After making it through group stages and surviving a gruelling double-elimination bracket, the top four teams will make it through to the quarter-finals that will be hosted live at rAge Expo throughout the weekend from the 8th to the 10th of December.

Those ready to participate can sign up over at ACGL, and those fluffing up their pom poms can make sure they’re following Carry1st and ACGL on all their social media platforms for the most up-to-date news, as well as catching all the action on their streaming channels.
