Windows 12 Release Window Teased… Maybe

A possible release window for the upcoming Windows operating system, Windows 12, was more than likely hinted at recently by an Intel executive.

It’s hard to imagine that Microsoft has had much time to dedicate to anything other than the ongoing Activision Blizzard drama, but apparently, they’ve also found some time to work on the next rendition of Windows.

Windows 11 was released in 2021 and marked the first operating system evolution since Microsoft swore up and down that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows.

However, David Zinsner, the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Intel, recently took to the stage for a Global Technology Conference, during which he stated that 2024 would be a good year for Microsoft, mainly because of the new version of Windows arriving next year.

While this statement is not definitive proof that Windows 12 will be released next year, there is enough smoke for the fire to be real, and it’s safe to assume that even if Windows 12 isn’t released, there will be a significant update for Windows 11 – at the very least.

It’s also worth noting that last year, a credible leaker stated that Microsoft had plans to release a new version of Windows every three years, which, if true, would mean that Windows 12 is due next year, so we’ll have to wait and see.
