NAG PARTNER
Thanks to that extra stamina you gained from recruiting one of Xioami’s robot vacuums to your party, you were able to become the best healer in the world. Now that you have more time on your hands to do things in the real world, you don’t want to spend it vacuuming your home, especially considering you’re planning to make your home a little bit smarter ever since that one elf in World of Warcraft told you about all the gadgets they’ve got in their home.
While each of the Xiaomi range of robot vacuums makes great members for your gaming party, they most definitely work a lot better in the real world, tackling the chores you don’t want to do. So, we’re here to tell you which one will suit your new, real-world quests.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10 is perfect for those who have smaller households, with similar flooring across multiple rooms due to its smaller battery and simpler cleaning scheduling. You can program it to go out on scheduled quests with a pre-loaded setup and leave it to do its thing while you enjoy your time getting up to anything else. With the E10, you have four different vacuum modes: quiet, standard, medium and turbo, depending on how much of that 4000pa vacuum power you need, and three levels of water for the mop depending on what surface needs to be mopped. Of course, the more carpet you have on the floor, the less water you want there. As the Xiaomi robot vacuum E10 relies on its zig-zag cleaning system to map out your house, it will require a little bit of human intervention to make sure that it’s not going into places it shouldn’t. This can be easily achieved by closing a door or placing a physical barrier that the Xiaomi robot vacuum E10 will ignore. Once it has mapped your house once, though, you can save this map and then tell it which areas you do want it to clean. With live voice notifications from the Xiaomi robot vacuum E10 and live tracking on the app, you’ll always know where the vacuum is and exactly what it’s up to.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+
If you’re looking for something a little more advanced, or you have a household that has quite a few rooms, some with carpet, some tiled and some with wood, then the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+ are the ones for you. Equipped with all the same skills as the Xiaomi robot vacuum E10, the Xiaomi robot vacuum S10 and S10+ are still competent cleaning machines; however, they have a few extra tricks up their sleeve. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+ have a Laser Detection System, or LDS as it is called; this elevates its mapping function to a level closer to your Dwarven Healer. With LDS, you can map out your house entirely, defining each room and exactly what type of cleaning is required in that room. You are even able to tell the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+ which areas in a specific room you want to have cleaned and which areas it should ignore. If you have a room that is out-of-bounds, then a simple virtual wall created on the app will stop the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+ from going in. The LDS system also means that the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+ are less likely to bump into things. As the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10 relies on its collision sensors to tell it where the walls are, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+ are capable of detecting objects up to 8m away. They can tell if it is a piece of furniture that it needs to go around or if it’s a wall that it needs to change direction at. Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10+ takes this detection to the raid-boss level by further adding AI 3D object detection. This allows the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10+ to get even closer to your carpets before detecting that it needs to disable its mops. A 5mm detection distance means you might not even know that the Xiaomi robot vacuum S10+ has whizzed past your feet, leaving a fresh and clean surface behind you.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+
Suppose you’re more into the absolute pinnacle of technology, and you’d like almost all aspects of the house-vacuuming quest to be automated, or you have a house large enough for not only you but all your furry companions too. In that case, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ with an auto-empty station is what you should be looking at. Powered by the largest battery of the four models, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ can stay out, tackling its quest, for up to 180 minutes, which is almost an hour longer than the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10, S10 and S10+ models. With more technology undoubtedly comes more power. Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ not only has the ability to tell the different rooms apart once defined on the app, like the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10 and S10+, but you are also able to program in what order you would like each room to be cleaned. Suppose your routine during the week involves you gaming, I mean, working from the office in the mornings before heading to the kitchen for lunch, followed by a nap in the bedroom afterwards. You could have the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ with its auto-empty station start its cleaning in the bedroom and then proceed to the office and continually follow you afterwards to ensure you are never disturbed in the room you are currently in. This order can be changed for different schedules, meaning you can have the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ start in the office on the weekends and move on to the bedroom a little later in the day if you’re the sleeping-in type. The auto-empty station will clean out the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ every time it returns and can store up to 2.5 litres of dust before you need to change the bag out. That’s almost 600m2 of cleaning. The bag also automatically closes via drawstring, so you won’t be throwing all that vacuumed dust around your house again when you change out the bag.
All four of these models are conveniently monitored and controlled via the handy Xiaomi app on your mobile devices. Should you choose to, you are even able to manually drive each vacuum yourself from the comfort of your couch on the app. The app easily integrates the multitude of other Xiaomi smart home devices, providing you with a single access point to everything that keeps your house together. This integration also allows Google, Alexa and Apple the ability to utilise the different features of each piece of hardware to create scheduled automation that will elevate your smart home experience. Say you tend to come home after dark on most nights, and you’d like to come home to a clean, well-lit house, but without the needless waste of electricity. You can program Google to initiate a cleaning schedule using your chosen vacuum just before you leave the office. The app will inform you that the cleaning has begun, and while you have the app open, you can quickly check on your cameras to make sure the dogs haven’t ripped up your newly planted rosebush. Your smart lightbulbs in the driveway have been programmed to turn on at 6 PM so that you can easily see where to park your car when you get in, and the light bulbs in your house have been connected to an action that triggers when the camera at the front door detects your face. Your favourite playlist starts to play at 6:45 PM, and you know it’s time to start cooking dinner. As you’re getting done with the dishes afterwards, your speaker notifies you that it’s time to call your squad for a bit of game time.
All of these convenient features are accessible via one app, using one affordable, high-quality brand of product: Xiaomi.
