Some of us have been lucky enough to enjoy Counter Strike 2 for a couple of weeks now. If your ranking and rating were good enough, you were invited to play. For the rest of us plebs, we’ve had to deal with social media posts and YouTube videos, but we may not have to wait much longer.
In typical Valve fashion, a simple tweet made on the official Counter-Strike account may just be revealing the launch date of Counter-Strike 2.
What are you doing next Wednesday?
— CS2 (@CounterStrike) September 20, 2023
While it’s not guaranteed, the tweet does hint at the game being launched next week, Wednesday, the 27th of September.
Initially, the game was slated for a “Summer 2023” launch, which would’ve been some time over our winter period, but with that having come and gone, next week Wednesday seems pretty plausible.
Anything could happen within the next few days that could force Valve to delay the release even further, but this is probably the most concrete “announcement” we’ve had from them so far.
Hopefully, all that practice on the new South African Valorant servers will pay off when I open up some Counter Strike 2 for the first time.
