As I write this, Final Fantasy 14 is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its rebirth. As part of the celebration, Square Enix announced that a tabletop RPG based on the world of Eorzea is in the works.
This Final Fantasy 14 Tabletop RPG will be the first officially licensed Tabletop RPG from Square Enix and will feature books, character sheets, dice, and everything else that players will need to get started.
From what we know, the Final Fantasy 14 Tabletop RPG will be released in May 2024. The Starter Set will include dice (6d20 and 10d6), premade character sheets based on Jobs such as the Warrior and the Black Mage, an encounter map, and some markers and books for players and game masters to use during the game.

The game is intended for three to five players, and in addition to the starter set, an official rule book and a game master guide will be available for purchase sometime after launch.
It still needs to be determined if this game will use its own set of rules or if it will follow the same rule structure as Pathfinder or Dungeons and Dragons. Still, given the recent popularity of Dungeons and Dragons, the Final Fantasy 14 Tabletop RPG couldn’t have picked a better time to launch.
But now we want to know from you: are you a fan of Tabletop RPGs, and if so, will you buy the Final Fantasy 14 one when it releases? Let us know in the comments.
