Titanfall 2 Receives a Surprise Patch to it’s Multiplayer Servers

Titanfall 2 is one of my all-time favourite games. The single-player campaign was an amazing story that I could easily play through and the multiplayer combat is both exciting and clever.

The game was released over seven years ago, and the multiplayer servers haven’t seen much love from Respawn since they’ve shifted focus to Apex Legends and the player base slowly dwindled too, meaning queue times started to get longer and longer. That was until a surprise patch for the game’s multiplayer was suddenly released.

Over the weekend, the game saw a concurrent player count of over 22,000 since the patch, and to top it all off, the featured playlist has started updating again, and weapons have changed in the 1v1 coliseum mode.

If you still, for some ungodly reason, have not picked up Titanfall 2, it’s on sale for 90% off over on Steam! That’s only R45 for an epic game, even if you only play the campaign.

Respawn’s favourite child, though, Apex Legends, has also featured a little Titanfall in its latest patch notes.

These three numbers are the Unix timestamps for the release dates of Titanfall, Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends, respectively. Perhaps we are about to see some in-game crossover. Personally, I hope they release a Titan mode; that would make my year.
