Can you believe it’s already been a year since the Edgerunners series based on Night City from Cyberpunk came out? Me neither, and to add to the awesomeness, there are only 11 days before the Phantom Liberty expansion releases.
To help get us onto the hype train, if you aren’t already, CD Projekt Red has partnered with Yoh Yoshinari from Studio Trigger, the studio behind the series, and created a pretty sweet piece of art featuring Lucy and one of the new net runners from the Phantom Liberty DLC; Songbird.
While this doesn’t point to a widely hoped-for second season of Edgerunners, it does make me want to watch the first one all over again. When I’m done with that, I’ll gently caress my PC, whispering sweet nothings into its ear in hopes that it will run the Cyberpunk 2.0 patch as smooth as butter on hot toast when it releases on the 20th of September.
Check out the official tweet from the Cyberpunk account below and maybe set the artwork as your new mobile wallpaper.
One year ago, we started our wild ride to the Moon together in #Edgerunners. Thank you for being a part of this incredible adventure with us!💚
On September 26th we’ll set off on a journey with another talented netrunner, Songbird, in #PhantomLiberty expansion.
