Only Up! Goes Down

Only Up! was a smash hit in the content creator community a couple of months ago. Its janky controls and crazy, edge-of-your-seat gameplay made it exhilarating to watch on stream if you had the heart to handle it.

Unfortunately, if you’ve been attempting to muster up the courage to play it, you can’t anymore. The game has officially been removed from Steam.

While the game was taken down for a couple of days due to some stolen asset claims, which the developer quickly rectified, this time, Only Up! has been taken down by the developers themselves.

Indiesolodev posted in a final update on the game that Only Up! was causing more stress than they had bargained for, and they wanted to “put the game behind them”. They are working on another game titled “Kith”. As a solo developer, they are hoping that their new game will have a small team behind it instead of just one person. Kith will be more focused on cinematography and realism, quite different to what Only Up! was.

If you still want to play Only Up!, you’re going to have to ask one of your buddies who already has it in their libraries to let you tempt fate and hopefully make it to the top without having a complete heart attack.
