Today is Friday, objectively the best day of the week because it’s the day you can get home from work and play as many games as you want with very few consequences the next day. It’s also the day of the week that we can head to the Epic Game Store and download a game for free.
For those who don’t already know, every Thursday or sometimes Friday, Epic Games Store makes a game available for gamers to download and add to their libraries for free.
All gamers need to do to grab this fantastic gift for themselves is log into their Epic account, redeem the game or games on offer and add it to their library. Forever.
Today, the Epic Games Store offers an okay-ish game, SpellDrifter, available to grab until the 14th of September.

[Get It Here]
Usually retailing for R140, Spelldrifter combines the puzzle-like positional tactics of a turn-based RPG with the customizability and replayability of a collectable card game.
The game was first released in 2016 to great reviews and then re-released in 2022 to mixed reviews, with reviewers everywhere noting that it was a fresh and novel idea when it was originally released under the title of Labyrinth.
However, since being renamed and re-released on Epic before re-released on Steam, the mechanics and UI have become dated and messy, and the game feels barebones at the best of times.
We’re not sure if this game gets the NAG seal of approval, but it is free, so this could be the perfect way to try it and see which group of reviews you most agree with.
If SpellDrifter sounds like the game for you, remember to head to the Epic Games Store and add it to your library before the 14th of September, when the next free game goes live.
