Today is the happiest of all Fridays. Not only is it the start of a new month, but it’s also spring, which means winter is finally behind us. It’s also the day we all head to Epic Game Store and download a game for free.
For those who don’t already know, every Thursday or sometimes Friday, Epic Games Store makes a game available for gamers to download and add to their libraries for free.
All gamers need to do to grab this fantastic gift for themselves is log into their Epic account, redeem the game or games on offer and add it to their library. Forever.
Today, the Epic Games Store offers a good one – Cave Story +, available to grab until the 7th of September.

Usually retailing for R105, Cave Story + lets players run, jump, fly and explore their way through a massive action-adventure reminiscent of the classic 8-bit and 16-bit games many of us grew up playing.
When it was released back in 2011, the game won over critics worldwide with Destructoid saying:
“All in all, Cave Story is an incredible game that I’m sure I will be playing again and again for the rest of my life. It succeeds at telling a great story, providing fantastic run-and-gun gameplay and a huge world to explore, and it does so with a style and technique all its own.”
Cave Story + features an entirely original story overflowing with charm and character. Players will need to learn the origins of this world’s power to try and stop the game’s delusional villain and save the Mimiga – once and for all.
If Cave Story + sounds like the game for you, remember to head to the Epic Games Store and add it to your library before the 7th of September, when the next free game goes live.
