We previously mentioned that Sea of Stars might be the first game to be available on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus on launch day. That’s some exciting news for those who aren’t really into commitment.
Others, who feel the game might just be one of the greatest nostalgic releases of the year, might’ve been a little disappointed to see that the game was being punted around the digital playground like some old soccer ball instead of being treasured in a plastic case.
Well, be less disappointed because iam8bit has partnered with Sabotage Studios to bring us the game’s physical release on all platforms.

Sure, the physical release will probably be about six months after the actual launch date, but at least that gives you time to play the game, fall in love with it and then buy the physical copy to stick on your shelf for all your guests to see.
“Ooo, is that Sea of Stars?” they’ll ask as you smugly smile, nod and then tell them not to touch it.
If you aren’t as excited about Sea of Star as I am, check out the trailer below. The game is planned to launch on the 29th of August, and I’ve already got my space speedo on.
