Local Servers for Valorant are on the way

I’m still in utter shock. Valorant is getting South African Servers.

Announced last week by Valorant’s very own executive director Anna Donlon, and then confirmed again by the official Valorant account, South Africa will be getting local servers for gamers to finally enjoy decent ping rates in game.

While we haven’t been offered any other details, like when or where, we do know that Carry1st, a Cape Town-based company, will be the official server partner. Competitive and casual players alike will surely have butterflies in their stomachs at the sheer thought of looking up in the corner and seeing a stable ping under 50ms.

Riot Games, the company behind Valorant, also bring us games like League of Legends and the upcoming fighting game dubbed Project L. If they are willing to commit to local servers for Valorant, the chances of us seeing servers for other games greatly increase, and soon we might all finally be able to get out of Bronze.
