For every Pokémon fan out there, we know that both Mew and Mewto are the original gangsters when it comes to god-like Pokémon.
Just the other day, the Pokémon Presents announced that we could claim these two Pokémon in the Scarlet and Violet game via a nice little gift from Pokémon themselves and then a hard-fought battle against the big boy himself.
To claim Mew, navigate yourself to the Mystery Gift menu in the game and enter the code “GETY0URMEW”. You’ll be able to claim this up until the 18th of September but don’t be lazy. Go ahead and do it now so that you can train it up for the Mewtwo raid coming a little later in the year.
From the 1st of September, trainers will be able to encounter Mewtwo in a Tera Raid Battle, and while Pokémon hasn’t said exactly what you’ll get, they have hinted at “something special” if you use Mew in said battle. Hence the need for some training.
The game will also feature two waves of hype Tera Raid battles to get trainers excited for the Mewtwo one. Wave one kicks off from the 9th of August until the 17th, and the second wave will begin after that on the 18th of August.
