According to reports from various Lego insiders, the next video game to Lego adaptation is set to be Animal Crossing and should start arriving next year.
This insider leak first went live last night on Instagram when a post went up from a notorious Lego leaker known as exabrickslegogo_, and the claim was backed a few hours later by another reliable Lego leaker, Brick Clicker, over on YouTube.
The leak in question relates to five Lego sets discovered on Brickmerge. For those who don’t know, Brickmerge is a site that uses a bot to find new Lego sets as soon as they are listed.
However, Brickmerge lists the sets by their product numbers and doesn’t provide further information on them, which is where leakers like exabrickslegogo_ come into the picture.
And in this case, they claim that the sets found are Animal Crossing themed and will be released in March next year.
Over the last few years, Lego has started dabbling in more and more video game sets, and each has been highly successful. Previously they launched their line of Super Mario playsets, Minecraft, Horizon Forbidden West, the Atari 2600 and Pac-Man – to name a few.
Lego also launched a new range based on Sonic the Hedgehog earlier this week.
But now we want to hear from you. Is there any merit to these Animal Crossing claims? Let us know in the comments.
