Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Coming To PlayStation 4 And Xbox One

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released back in April and is the direct follow-up to 2019’s Jedi: Fallen Order. In the game, players once again take on the role of Cal Kestis to try to free the galaxy from the Empire’s clutches.

It was a great follow-up of the original but was skipped on last-gen consoles to offer a true new-gen experience, at least according to the game’s developers, but now that is the case no longer.

During Electronic Art’s latest earnings briefing, the publisher revealed that Respawn was in the early development stages to port Star Wars Jedi: Survivor over to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In the report, Electronic Arts didn’t specify when these last-gen ports would be released but stated that current versions won’t be left behind. Additional performance improvements for PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Seris X/S will remain a top priority for developers Respawn.

It’s surprising that Jedi: Survivor is now coming to last-gen consoles, not only because it goes against original statements made but because Jedi: Survivor pushed the limits of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S harder than most other games.

However, it makes sense financially as last-gen consoles are still alive and thriving, even in 2023.
