Season 1 of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, the one from 1987, is now available to stream on YouTube, for Free. [Cowabunga – Ed]
Those who didn’t watch the original season back in the day are in for a treat. Season one was the shortest of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with only five episodes.
These five episodes are known among fans as a five-part pilot that tells the origin story of the Turtles. The first five episodes were so popular that the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series would run for ten seasons from 1987 to 1996.
The original season that’s now available on YouTube is there because of a new deal that has given Nickelodeon access to all 193 episodes of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series that were produced.
During San Diego Comic-Con, Nickelodeon announced it had acquired the rights to the original ’80s television show, and now Season 1 has made its way to YouTube just days before the theatrical release of Nickelodeon and Paramount’s new animated feature film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
