Nexon’s take on a third-person looter shooter, The First Descendant, went through its first beta testing last year and it has since taken into consideration all the feedback from the testers.
Now they’re ready to take a swing at things again with a cross-platform open beta starting on the 22nd of August and running for about a week, until the 28th.
You can check out the feedback video from Nexon below, showing off a bit of the reworked gameplay mechanics, cosmetics system, co-op boss raids and the pretty Unreal 5 graphics.
First Descendant is a free-to-play third-person looter shooter, similar to games like The Division or Outlanders, but with an Overwatch-type twist. Players will be able to choose their own character and play as them in the in-game raids.
Each character has their own traits, special abilities and weapon loadouts and you will need to form a coherent team to take on the biggest of the bosses in 4-player co-op. The game also features single-player storylines that you can play to progress through the story of each character.
To sign up for the open beta, hop onto The First Descendants website and choose the platform you’d like to play it on. It’s playable on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox.
