ConernedApe, the creator of everyone’s favourite indie farming game, Stardew Valley, has just taken to Twitter to make fans weak at the knees by offering up a small teaser on what they can expect when Update 1.6 rolls out.
The Tweet had ConcernedApe list some of what will come to the game. The list is short, but it’s enough to shake things up and breathe new life into the game again.
According to the Tweet, Update 1.6 will bring new items, a new festival, new dialogue and some secrets that are still to be revealed, leaving fans to speculate about the additional content.
This isn’t the first time ConernedApe has teased the Stardew Valley Update 1.6. A few months ago, ConcernedApe shared a tweet that contained two words: iridium scythe. No further context was given, but many have taken it to mean that the scythe will receive a new upgrade when the update comes.

Fans of the game have been anxiously waiting for news about the next content update for Stardew Valley; this tease didn’t include a release window for when the update will arrive, but just the promise of what it might hold was enough to whip fans up into a frenzy.
Since ConcernedApe dropped the teaser Tweet at 2 am this morning, over 61K users have liked the Tweet and its garnered thousands of replies with gamers trying to guess what the additional content will be and expressing how Stardew Valley was their favourite game.
This content update is a long time coming. While the game constantly receives hotfixes and minor updates, February 2021 was the last significant update that notably changed the game.
