EA Sports Passes us the Gameplay Trailer for FC24

For many FIFA fans out there, this announcement is the one you’ve been waiting for. The official release date of the new football game from EA, that is no longer FIFA.

EA Sports FC24 is the first ‘post-FIFA EA split’ football game to come out and EA has just given us a tasty trailer to soak it all in before we can pick up the game later on this year.

The new game features a reworked version of the Frostbite Engine. This new Frostbite has Hypermotion V, which will allow the devs to create new animations for the game in a substantially small amount of time. It also has what EA are calling playstyles. This playstyle bolt-on is supposed to give the in-game characters a more realistic movement pattern to them, making them feel even closer to the real thing.

As we can see in the trailer, the game will also heavily feature the women’s soccer leagues, a great addition to the game as these ladies start etching their names as some of the greats out here on the field.

Overall the game still seems to be as sharp and in-depth as all the previous titles have been from EA, but that’s to be expected, what will mainly be missing are a few of the bigger names that FIFA have kept for themselves. Don’t fret too much though, EA have still got UEFA, the Premier League and LaLiga to name just a few.

FC24 will be available to play on the 29th of September if you pick up the Standard Edition featuring the Erling Haaland cover. If you pick up the Ultimate Edition, you get the cool, although very digital, group photo cover and seven days of early access, meaning you can kick around the ball from the 22nd. It releases on all platforms; PS4 and 5, Xbox S, X and One, Steam, EA for Windows, the Epic Store and the Nintendo Switch.

Do you think FC24 will live up to the previous FIFA titles or are you waiting to see what FIFA themselves have to offer?
