Blizzard Comments On Diablo 4 Coming To Game Pass

Earlier today, Microsoft cleared a significant hurdle in acquiring Activision Blizzard. Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley ruled to deny the FTC’s injunction, making this Microsoft’s biggest win so far and sparring on the rumour that Diablo 4 might come to game pass when the acquisition s finalised.

However, if the president of Blizzard, Mike Ybarra is to be believed; there are no plans to release Diablo 4 on Game Pass now or in the foreseeable future. Diablo 4 has been a massive success for Blizzard, and many Xbox Game Pass subscribers were hopeful that the game would head to the service after the acquisition was completed.

Mike Ybarra was quick to stamp out these rumours on Twitter, however, where he stated that it is impossible to predict the future and that the leak and rumours of Diablo 4 coming to Game Pass was “bogus”.

It’s also worth noting that while Microsoft can now close the deal in the United States, only some of the roadblocks have been cleared.

The deal is still blocked by the CMA in the United Kingdom, and unless Microsoft can negotiate with them to agree, the deal won’t be able to go through.

However, the CMA did issue a statement soon after the FTC court decision, stating that it was ready to consider proposals made by Microsoft to address its concerns.
