The massive Fallout New Vegas mod; Fallout Neuvo Mexico, has just gotten an 18-minute gameplay trailer and it’s quite extensive.
The first teaser trailer was announced back in 2021 and since then it looks like the fan-made mod has made some real progress.
The mod, which features a Western aesthetic takes place five years after the original Fallout game. It comes stacked with custom models, weapons and missions made particularly for this era in the Fallout universe.
The team behind it created all the voice lines, remarkably well might I add, and even used specific accents for the different NPCs and other characters in the differing Mexico and New Mexico areas, giving a more immersive experience.
The mod will also feature a dual origins system, which will allow gamers to pick between either ‘The Convict’ or ‘The Dreamer’ origin stories. Both of these stories seem to happen at the same time as we get a hint of The Convict being mentioned in the gameplay shown around The Dreamer. This will probably also mean that you could play the mod as both characters to get a completely different storyline and gameplay experience. The Convict storyline follows a character that has lost their memory while in a Vault-Tec prison, while The Dreamer will set you up as a Ghoul, where the main quest will be to impress your reservations Messiah.
There is no release date for the mod just yet, but the gameplay trailer does mention that there are more parts to come, one will arrive just before winter ends and the other before the end of the year. Hopefully, by the last video, we will have a rough date of when we can expect the mod to drop.
