It’s Monday, and while many of us have to put down the controller for a while and get to work, Steam is here to distract you by offering six games for you to download for free right now. Work can wait, right?
So if you’re looking for a reason to be distracted, here are some free new games released this month on Steam. While some are still in Early Access, all the games listed here are free to download and enjoy.

Fishgun
Fishgun is a chaotic, first-person shooter where players need to feed their sentient gun random upgrades to defeat hordes of evil fruit.
The evil fruit has taken over and drained the ocean. It’s up to the players to use their fish guns to defeat the fruit and confront their queen.
As a single-player shooter, Fishgun is a fun, fluid game filled with non-stop fun. The game comes with a vast amount of weapons and weapon upgrades. While it looks like a game straight out of the 90s, the visuals add to the experience.
WWII Online
Set in Western Europe, players will fight to win the war as Allied or Axis. WWII Online is a massively multiplayer FPS simulation game that immerses players in the Western Front of WWII.
Hosted on a massive single-game server, there are virtually no limits to the number of players who can join the battlefield and fight as infantry, tanker, pilot, or captain.
WWII Online requires players to collaborate and engage with others to create action and achieve objectives. Solo play is nearly impossible, and players are encouraged to practice and partner with experienced players or join an active squad when they first start out.
Invicta: The Next Queen
Invicta: The Next Queen is a single-player, top-down Soulslike game where players take on the Moma, a legendary warrior who must fight through hell to try and reclaim their soul.
The game is currently in early access and is a student project that plays well and offers a pretty good time, even through the occasional glitches.
Invicta: The Next Queen consists of five zones for players to fight through and explore, breaking everything in their path, hoping to uncover all the secrets the game holds.
Ducks Can Drive
Ducks Can Drive is a single-player game with online PVP where the goal is to pick a duck, pick a car and then race around levels delivering food to fellow ducks in the city to get the top score.
By making deliveries, players will earn money which can then be used to upgrade their vehicles to try and increase their odds of coming out on top.
The game is silly and can be completed in totality in under ten minutes, so it definitely needs to be fleshed out more if it wants to compete with other similarly silly games like Untitled Goose Game. Still, if you have a few minutes to burn, Ducks Can Drive isn’t off to a bad start.
Andara: Rise for Rebellion
While Andara: Rise for Rebellion is still in early access, it shows a lot of promise.
At its core, Andara: Rise for Rebellion is a short single-player third-person shooter inspired by arcade-style games like Returnal and DOOM.
The campaign available for early access is short but enjoyable and shows off the game’s tight and responsive controls making for a pleasant shooting experience.
Players will take on the role of Andara, who, after witnessing an invasion that plundered her home of its natural resources and killed many of her people, decides to stand up to her cruel father and end his reign.
Jump To Survive
Jump To Survive is a single-player game from Aranja Games with a simple premise. Players must jump to dodge and avoid obstacles to survive.
The game takes place across multiple floating islands. Each island is a different map with unique challenges and obstacles for players to avoid, like trees, temples and even houses.
The latest season of Jump To Survive has introduced a new mechanic to the game, Double Jump. This is an ability that players can trigger once every 10 seconds, and in a game where jumping is all you can do, this Double Jump can be the difference between life and death.
